The riverside docks in Paris are the backdrop to a May-December romance gone
sour. Giorgetta is Michele’s young wife, but since losing their child, she has
wandering eyes that have fallen on Luigi, one of her husband’s dock hands. The
lovers drink wine and dance and make plans for the future. But those plans are no
match for a jealous husband.
